And just to give you a quick outline of what the different areas of the speed editor are, we've got our transport controls, we've got our toggle between our source and timeline, we've got in the upper left hand side here our editing controls. Couple things you'll notice that the lights are turned on.
So now we've got the speed editor hooked up and ready to go and we can quickly confirm it. You just kind going to have to kick the system. You may find that Resolve doesn't immediately see the panel and what I sometimes have to do is plug into USB-C, then unplug it and then you're fine. Then to double check, it will come up to resolve preferences, come down to control panels, and there's my battery level, 98%.
And now I can see here, my Bluetooth that it is connected up. Now we get this dialogue warning boxes from the Mac OS, confirming that we want to connect to this device. It shows up as DaVinci Keyboard, I click Connect. And I'm going to just tap the speed editor to make sure it's a wake. I'll go to my Bluetooth, Bluetooth preferences, and it's going to start searching for devices. I'm going to come up to my preferences up here. Otherwise, if you're going to leave it out full time, use it all the time, I personally like the hardwired option. If you're the type of person who's going to leave it in the drawer, then the Bluetooth connection is probably perfect for you. So you can directly hook this up to your computer but it does have built in Bluetooth. So the first thing you need to know about it is, it does have a USB-C connector on the back. There are uses for it on the color page as well but right now we are focusing exclusively on the cup page and what this brings to you. And it really is designed for the cup page. Now the speed editor is obviously a transport control but a lot more than that, it's optimized for the cut page which is why have included it in this course. Now we're at the point in this course where we get to upgrade our editing with this little guy right here.
